Paying at the Ramp

No attendant on site — the honor-system pay station is at the entrance. It takes 60 seconds. Here's exactly what to do.

  1. 1
    Take an envelope

Grab a self-addressed envelope from the clear holder mounted on the pay station post.

  2. 2
Write your license plate number on the envelope

Include the plate number of your tow vehicle so we can match the payment to your visit.

  3. 3
Place $20 cash or a check inside

Cash works great. If paying by check, make it out to Danny Coleman.

  4. 4
Slide the sealed envelope into the slot

Drop it through the payment slot on the post — you're all set. Launch your boat and enjoy the river.

Overnight guests: you pay once per boat for your entire stay — no need to pay again each day.

Boat Ramp FAQ

What is the water depth at the ramp?
Depth at the end of the ramp varies with the river level but typically runs 8 to 15 feet at normal stage. Call us at (936) 348-6519 if you're unsure about current conditions.
Is there a bait shop nearby?
The Gin Store in Midway carries bait. For a wider selection, the nearest shops are in Madisonville (about 20 min east) or Huntsville (about 30 min south). Stock up before you arrive for the best selection.
Can large trailers use the ramp?
Yes. We can accommodate large rigs. We have plenty of room to turn around.
Do you close after heavy rain?
During flooding or high-water events we close the ramp for safety until the river recedes. When in doubt, call us before making the drive: (936) 348-6519.
